Easy Modified Mediterranean Diet

What is the difference between a regular Mediterranean diet and those modified Mediterranean diet plans you see?
A modified menu is one that will depend on the area that you live in and what is available to you to buy for the food. It will be a way that you can stick to the diet and be able to make the menus.
This diet is one that will have you being healthy and living longer. With the modified aspect of it you will still be eating plenty of those great foods too. High intake of fruits and veggies is still part of the process.
Plus you will be eating plenty of seeds, legumes, nuts, and a lot of whole grains. You will need to get used to making things by using olive oil too. No sweets or refined sugars are going to be allowed on this diet though.
You should seek to eat about nine or eleven servings of veggies, fruits and salads. Try and get those fruits and veggies that offer you the most benefits too.
You will need to eat a bunch of those green vegetables too. That means you need to buy plenty of the following. Beans, broccoli, cabbage, collards, eggplant, kale, artichokes, and brussel sprouts.
Don’t forget those other more colorful choices of vegetables are too. Those great choices are sweet potato, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, and pumpkins.
While herbs should be fresh if you can find them. They add some great flavor and don’t have calories in them!
Garlic will be a must when it comes to any type of Mediterranean diet you have. Plus it offers you a lot of benefits medically too.
As stated before you should buy some extra virgin olive oil to cook with. Don’t forget about that fish to keep up the Omega 3 that you add into your diet. Eat fish two times a week at least.
While your dairy products will be limited a bit, pick up some skim milk or even goats milk.
Products that you buy should be made with those also. Have some almonds and other nuts on hand for your diet.
